The Holocaust Museum
On Thursday my class and I went to the Chicago Holocaust Museum. When we were there we got little headphones to hear tour guide speak while in the exhibits. The curators chose wall colors and textures to show how the years changed for Jewish people during the rise of Hitler. One of my favorite artifacts was where a man in the Lodz ghetto took a violin case and mapped the outline of the ghetto, and all of the buildings inside. This man risked everything to make this map of the ghetto.I thought it was cool and looked very interesting. One thing that I learned was that way more people than I thought rescued somebody. I thought there were only a few people here and there, especially in Denmark, that helped somebody. I thought it was cool going to the museum and learning about the rise of Nazism. I hope that everybody can go to the museum. It's a very interesting experience.
What was your favorite part of the museum?
